SRO Motorsports Group is delighted to announce performance oil specialist Motul as the Official Lubricant Partner of Blancpain GT Series Asia, which kicks off its inaugural season at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia this weekend (April 8/9).
Motorsport has been the globally-renowned French company’s primary proving ground since the 1950s. Its 300V Motorsport Line engine oil, lubricant and maintenance products are already trusted by drivers, teams and manufacturers competing around the world in a diverse range of categories such as Blancpain GT Series, MotoGP, World SBK, Super GT and the Le Mans 24 Hours.
The company is also title sponsor of SRO’s Intercontinental GT Challenge season finale, the Motul Sepang 12 Hours. And that successful alliance has now led to Motul becoming Official Lubricant Partner of the region’s first pan-continental GT3 and GT4 championship.
Indeed, a bumper entry list featuring the likes of Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche will be at Sepang this weekend for the first of six events staged in Malaysia, Thailand, Japan and China throughout 2017.
All Blancpain GT Series Asia cars and driver overalls will feature prominent Motul branding, while a number of teams will also rely on Motul’s products.
Claire Lim, Chief Marketing Officer (APAC), High-Tech Lubricants AP Pte Ltd: “Four-wheeled racing has always had a strong following in Asia, and it is our pleasure to be associated with Blancpain GT Series Asia. Benjamin Franassovici, Blancpain GT Series Asia Championship Manager: “Motorsport is in Motul’s DNA, as evidenced by the incredible range of two- and four-wheel categories its products supply around the world.
