Beijing: Poles for Liu and Ghiretti

> Qualifying results

Liu Kaishun and Alessandro Ghiretti both secured pole positions by less than half a tenth ahead of this weekend’s two GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS races.

Harmony’s Ferrari – a winner here last year – starts Saturday afternoon’s contest alongside the Cheng Congfu-driven FAW Audi Sport Asia Team Phantom R8 that qualified 0.039s slower, while Loek Hartog’s final lap moved Origine’s championship leading Porsche up to second behind one of its primary title rivals.

The result was a suitable reward for Absolute’s #911 mechanics who spent all night building up a new chassis for Ghiretti and his co-driver Huang Ruohan following a fire at the end of Friday evening’s Bronze Test.
