Luo Kailuo and Ben Green will start Chang’s first and second races from pole position after topping their respective qualifying sessions this morning.
Winhere Harmony’s Ferrari set a 1m34.539s towards the end of Q1, which began in slightly damp conditions following overnight rain, before Green registered two laps quick enough for top spot in Race 2. The JMR Corvette’s second – 1m33.455s – was 0.241s quicker than Silver-Am championship leader Maxime Oosten whose Team KRC BMW shares the front row, while Daniel Morad (Craft-Bamboo) was half a tenth further back in third.
An excellent lap by Anthony Liu sees Phantom’s Porsche start today’s race from P2. His is the only Pro-Am entry in a top four that also features the Silver class Audis of Cheng Congfu (FAW/Phantom) and Rio (Uno Racing).
Hirobon bagged Race 1 Silver-Am top spot aboard 5ZIGEN's Nissan, while AMAC’s Ben Porter was fastest of the Am entries.
There were also Race 2 class poles for the FAW/Phantom Audi driven by Yu Kuai (Silver), albeit by just 0.004s from Danial Frost, and EBM’s Martin Berry (Am).
