> 50 entries split between GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS and Japan Cup
> Provisional entry lists
50 GT cars will make the trip to Okayama International Circuit later this month (August 29-31) for the second of 2025’s SRO GT PowerTour events.
31 GT3s are confirmed for Rounds 9 and 10 of GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS, while 19 entries – split between GT3, GT4 and GTC – contest the multi-class Japan Cup.
Asia’s championship leaders Bob Yuan and Leo Ye (Origine) have an opportunity to become Asia’s first-ever two-time champions, as well as the first pairing to clinch the overall title before the finale. They currently lead JMR’s Prince Jefri Ibrahim by seven points but must increase that advantage to 51 if they’re to retain the crown before competing on home soil at the new Beijing Street Circuit in October.
Elsewhere, Elegant Racing’s Am class Mercedes-AMG returns after skipping Fuji, Sepang winner Alexander Sims makes his second appearance of the year with JMR (albeit in the #66 Corvette), Super GT300 championship leader Naoya Gamou debuts with Porsche Center Okazaki, Edoardo Mortara returns with Absolute Corse, and Craft-Bamboo’s #77 Mercedes-AMG once again features Danial Frost who was forced to miss Fuji due to National Service in his native Singapore.
In Japan Cup, first and second place finishes at Fuji have left Akihiro Tsuzuki and Shintaro Kawabata 12 points clear of Bankcy at the top of GT3. As in Asia, the Hitotsuyama with Cornes Racing duo will clinch the title at Okayama if they can increase that lead to 51 by the end of Race 2.
Likewise Haridarma Manoppo and Seita Nonaka (TGR Indonesia) who have won all four GT4 races thus far, while Tiger Wu looks odds-on to wrap up the GTC class in the absence of his nearest rival, Tomohisa Furuya.
