Phoenix Racing Asia has revealed its two new Bentley Continental GT3s ahead of this weekend’s penultimate Blancpain GT Series Asia round at Shanghai.
Factory ‘Bentley Boy’ Jordan Pepper makes his championship debut alongside Shaun Thong in the #6 car while Alex Yoong and Marchy Lee are reunited aboard #5, which continues to carry the Champion livery used prior to Phoenix’s switch from Audi.
The two new chassis are the same as those used by Bentley Team M-Sport at the Suzuka 10 Hours last month. The factory squad has since worked closely to prepare the cars with Phoenix, which has also become the British manufacturer’s official partner team in Asia.
Marchy Lee, who also heads up the team, said: “We are excited to begin our journey as a Bentley Motorsport team this weekend in Shanghai. We tested the new cars earlier this month and we believe we have a very strong package to compete in the Blancpain GT Series Asia. Our driver line-ups are strong but we know we must approach our first race sensibly – it’s an extremely competitive series and we still have a lot to learn about this new car.”
