ARN Racing confirm GT World Challenge Asia return with Porsche

> Nagai and Kamimura reprise Pro/Am partnership

Japanese squad ARN Racing are returning to GT World Challenge Asia for a third full-season assault in 2020.

Hiroaki Nagai and Yuta Kamimura will again join forces in the cherry-red Porsche 911 GT3 R, which made its championship debut last year. Nagai’s Super GT commitments saw ARN skip Yeongam, but with no clashes forecast the team are free to contest all six of next season’s pan-Asia rounds.

Nagai and Kamimura claimed two Pro/Am victories en route to 10th in class, as well as one overall podium and pole position. However, with a season of experience under their belts, both drivers are certain that 2020 will be even stronger.

“This will be our second year driving the Porsche 911 GT3 R and we’re confident of achieving better results now that we’ve learned more about the car,” said Nagai.

“This will be my second year in GT World Challenge Asia and the aim is very simple: to become GT3 Pro/Am champion,” added Kamimura. “I can take confidence from those two class wins and setting pole position at the final round in Shanghai. I will try my best with our team and Hiroaki.”

ARN’s Porsche joins X Works’ Audi on the list of publicly confirmed GT World Challenge Asia entries for next season. Further team and manufacturer announcements are expected in the coming weeks.

2020’s campaign begins at Sepang in Malaysia on March 28/29.
