Yogibo partners with Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS

Premium bean bag and comfort brand, Yogibo, has become an official partner of Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS.

The Japanese company already has a presence in the paddock through its sponsorship of Yogibo Racing, whose Ferrari is contesting all six events this season. And that commitment will now extend to the pan-continental series as a whole from Round 2 onwards.

Yogibo branding will first appear on each car, the podium backdrop and winner’s arch at Suzuka on July 15-17, which also doubles as the inaugural Fanatec Japan Cup event. The country, host of four of 2022’s six Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS rounds, is one of the largest markets for Yogibo’s patented body conforming bean bags, pillows, gaming chairs and comfort accessories.

The championship’s Japan-centric calendar has seen a host of new teams and drivers commit to the four-round Fanatec Japan Cup, which also visits Fuji, Sugo and Okayama before Indonesia’s new international circuit, Mandalika, stages the season finale.

Japanese broadcaster, J Sports, will also air live coverage of the remaining 10 hour-long races, two of which take place per meeting.

Seiji Kimura, Web Shark Co., Ltd CEO: “We are truly happy that Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia is coming back to Japan.

“We genuinely share SRO’s drive for the championship, which fuelled our enthusiasm for extending our involvement beyond team sponsorship. This includes being the link with J Sports who are broadcasting all of the races in Japan. We are happy that Yogibo has played a role in bringing the three companies together to work as a team.

“There are many motorsport fans in Japan and we wish to bring the excitement of Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia to them. It can be experienced on J Sports and YouTube. Moreover, Yogibo Racing is aiming for Asia’s biggest GT title, which will be a first for a Japanese team. We will need the full support from our Japanese fans!”

Benjamin Franassovici, Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS General Manager: “We are delighted to welcome Yogibo as an official championship partner. Their enthusiasm for activation through motorsport was very clear when their new team became one of the first to confirm a 2022 entry, and that has continued to be the case during our discussions ever since. Kimura san is very passionate about GT racing, Yogibo Racing and his brand’s products, which I can confirm are extremely comfortable! We are very much looking forward to working closely with him and Yogibo this season.”

Yogibo’s products will also make special appearances throughout the season…
