Harmony Racing joins Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS full-time this year with a new Ferrari 296 GT3, Alex Liang Jiatong and Luo Kailuo.
The ROWE-supported, all-Chinese entry was unveiled in Kuala Lumpur ahead of this weekend’s Sepang 12 Hours.
That same circuit also played host to Harmony’s Fanatec GT Asia debut in September, albeit with the older 488 GT3, before the team raced its newly delivered 296 at Macau in November.
The latter programme also featured ROWE ambassador Liang, whose partnership with the German motor oil company extends to this year as well. It will be his third season with Harmony, for whom he previously raced in Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia and the China Endurance Championship. 2023 also included a Super GT300 programme, albeit in a Pacific Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3.
However, he can also draw on significant experience from outside the continent after spending time in International GT Open and the Italian GT Championship.
He’s joined by fellow Silver-graded driver Luo Kailuo who has spent the past two seasons as a Porsche Carrara Cup Asia front runner. He finished second in 2022 and third last year when he was also invited to compete at the Supercup round in Monza.
Sepang hosts the opening round of this year’s Fanatec GT Asia campaign on April 19-21.
