> Five events, including Chinese Grand Prix support, confirmed for Season 2
Zhuhai International Circuit will join an expanded SRO GT Cup calendar in 2026.
Nine races held across five events comprise a schedule that once again begins at the Formula 1 Heineken Chinese Grand Prix in mid-March.
However, Season 2’s running order also features some significant changes, chief among which is the trip to Zhuhai – a location with strong historical ties to SRO Motorsports Group. The city’s streets welcomed BPR in 1994 and ’95 before the same championship christened ZIC – China’s first permanent circuit – one year later. BPR’s successor, the FIA GT Championship, made the last of its four visits in 2007.
SRO GT Cup also travels to Shanghai twice in 2026. Its second visit will be as the chief GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS support on June 5/6 when China’s nationwide College Entrance Exam prevents races from being staged on the Sunday. The event timetable will be confirmed at a later date.
It’s then on to the Beijing Street Circuit where SRO GT Cup also joined GT World Challenge Asia in 2025 before a single 30-minute race rounds out the season in November.
As in 2025, contesting the season finale remains subject to a qualifying procedure, details of which will be confirmed shortly.
The China-based GT4 championship remains open to Bronze and Silver graded drivers who will compete for class and overall titles across all five events.
