Two of GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS’s most prominent Am combinations are returning to the championship with unchanged line ups this year.
Reigning champions David Tjiptobiantoro and Christian Colombo again join forces in Garage 75’s Ferrari 296 GT3, which has been upgraded to Evo spec, while Andrew Macpherson and Ben Porter share AMAC’s all-new Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo.
Collectively, they comprise the two most successful Am entries in GT World Asia history.
Tjiptobiantoro was also champion in 2024 when Colombo finished second after missing a round.
But for sheer consistency and longevity there’s no beating their Australian rivals who have finished runners up or third since winning their second title in 2022. They were also champions in 2019 after claiming second during their debut season the year before.
Moving from the 991.2 to 992 Evo model marks a significant development for AMAC which has also taken the opportunity to retire its much-loved black, white and fluro-orange livery.
This year’s six-round, 12-race campaign begins at Sepang on April 4-5.
